Practice Groups

Practice Groups are an ongoing assembly bringing together key stakeholders to address specific challenges and increase coordination among team members.

While individual coaching can be very impactful, none of us lives in a vacuum. Practice Groups allow us to grow not only as people but as a community. It is a collective incubator that leads to the highest level of ingenuity, efficiency, and joy in each other's work.

The goals of the Practice Groups vary depending on the stakeholder’s specific needs. Most often, it’s about cultivating conditions for separate workstreams to gel and seamlessly engage towards a mutual goal, ensuring effective delivery. Sometimes we coach members of entire teams individually and then bring them together for Practice Groups to create a system of mutual support and accountability. Other times, we hold regular councils among a group of key players from across institutional silos who are committed to meet, learn, and align on a regular basis as they move towards a shared vision.

The path toward accomplishing these goals also look very different from project to project, and often shifts along the way. Some teams require us to rebuild trust and repair relationships. With some, it's about creating the safety to bring concerns to the table or build capacity to have difficult conversations. With others, we use the Practice Groups as a landing strip for new ideas, skills, and practices. A nurturing environment for seeds of change to be planted and cultivated.

We come together to do the work we cannot do alone. With consistency, practice and the right infrastructure, we can create the optimal conditions for collaboration, co-creation, and co-evolution.
